The Faculty of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences strives to be recognized as a local and national innovative leader in inter-professional, clinical, educational research, and public services for its excellence in health care conducive learning and working environment.

Allied Health Sciences students prepared for research, treatment, and other relevant professions at the University of Sialkot. Allied health professionals are trained and skilled individuals who serve to prevent multiple disease services and disease transmission and provide diagnostic and treatment to the ailing humanity and public in the following fields and departments.

Our Departments

  • Department of Dietetics and Nutritional Science

    Dietetics and Nutritional Science (DNS) is a core element of health and medical science. The DNS program aims to interpret scientific research and knowledge about food and its impact on human health. This 4-year program is designed to keep in view the importance of dietetics and the nutritional aspect of our society. The dietary habits of Asian people are quite different from the rest of the world and there is a need to communicate and manage the multiple complex disorders according to the needs of our individual body requirements. The need of the hour is to realize the importance of nutrition and dietetics in sustaining a healthy lifestyle by preventing many chronic diseases from spreading in vast-majority of general masses. Due to the increased burden of metabolic diseases, malnutrition, and food insecurity in Pakistan, there is a great need for diet specialists to reduce diet related disorders. This professional course will provide a deep understanding of the latest techniques and advancements to the graduates in Dietetics and Nutritional Science worldwide and help bridge the gap of experts in this field.

  • Department of Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)

    The Department of Physiotherapy at the University of Sialkot has been a leading institution within the Faculty of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences since its establishment in 2018. The department is dedicated to producing highly skilled physiotherapists through a comprehensive, evidence-based curriculum that integrates theoretical learning with practical experience. The department is affiliated with Al Sheikh Jinnah Memorial Welfare Teaching Hospital, Syed Medical Complex, and Sialkot Medical Complex, where students gain extensive hands-on experience. Through rotational duties, students engage in one-to-one patient interactions, enhancing their clinical skills under the supervision of experienced physiotherapists. These real-world learning experiences prepare students to manage diverse musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and sports-related conditions. The well-equipped physiotherapy labs provide students with advanced simulation-based learning opportunities. These labs serve as a platform for practical demonstrations, skill development, and research, ensuring students are well-versed in modern physiotherapy techniques. The Doctor of Physiotherapy (DPT) program follows an internationally aligned curriculum, offering specialized training in manual therapy, electrotherapy, exercise rehabilitation, and biomechanics. The highly qualified faculty actively engages in research, clinical advancements, and international collaborations, further strengthening the department’s academic reputation. Graduates of the DPT program are equipped for careers in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, private clinics, academia, and research institutions. The department fosters professional growth through workshops, seminars, and conferences, ensuring students remain updated with the latest advancements in physiotherapy.   • Department of Medical Imaging Technology

    This department was established in 2020 with the first induction of only 40 students, which now boasts of hundreds of students with the achievement of the feat of graduation of the first batch. Several of the graduates are already established as professional technologists at esteemed institutions in Pakistan. We have adopted and modified our curriculum to prepare our graduates to the modern challenges in learning methodologies and hospital-based requirements to face a variety of diseases in the diverse human population.

  • Department of Medical Lab Technology

    The Department of Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) at the University of Sialkot (USKT) is dedicated to providing high-quality education and hands-on training in clinical laboratory sciences. Our department equips students with the knowledge, technical skills, and ethical values required to excel in diagnostic and research laboratories.
