The Department of Languages at University of Sialkot has been established to develop Urdu language and literature keeping in view the new global realities and to make it grow as an international language of sciences, technology, politics and culture

Introduction

The Department of Languages is offering M.A. Urdu in the semester Fall-2018 of two years / four semesters. The selected courses for these programs are taught to promote the Urdu language as the language of knowledge, and Urdu literature as the literature of values especially human values that can withstand the buffeting forces of time. The main focus of the Department is to carry out original research to develop the field of knowledge.

Eligibility Criteria

14 Years of Education (BA/B.Sc/ BCom/ADP or equivalent) with at leats 45% in the terminal degree.

Duration

The minimum Duration to complete this program is 2 years, while the maximum Duration to complete this program is 4 years.

Credit Hours

The minimum credit hours to complete this program is 60 hours, while the maximum credit hours to complete this program is 72 hours.
