The US Consul General Ms. Kristin K. Hawkins, from the Lahore US Consulate, made the visit to the University of Sialkot. She was warmly welcomed by the Chairman BOG, Mr. Faisal Manzoor alongside Prof. (Meritorious) Dr. Muhammad Khaleeq Ur Rahman, Vice Chancellor. During the meeting, the Chairman BOG Mr. Faisal briefed the Consul General, about the history and establishment of the university having presently 9000+ students, highly qualified faculty, about 80+ educational programs. There is special emphasis given to develop and prepare the students as per the international market’s requirement and involve them in extra- curricular activities, besides their educational involvements. After the briefing meeting, Ms. Kristin had an interactive session with the Deans, Directors and faculty members, followed by an engaging session with students on educational opportunities in the United States. The session concluded with the Honorable Chairman presenting a souvenir and football to the US Consul General as a sign of mutual cooperation.
