The University of Sialkot organized an awareness seminar and solidarity walk for Kashmir Day. The event focused on raising awareness about the struggles of Kashmiris and showing solidarity with them. There was a video documentary presented on the struggles and history of this region. Dr. Aslam Dar, Dean of Inter Faculty Linkages, gave a talk, saying, "Freedom is not an easy thing; we must look at the condition of oppressed states. Kashmir is our child, and all Kashmiris are important, regardless of their religion. They are one part of us." He also urged students to keep the spirit of Kashmir alive through their words and actions. Mr. Kaleem Raza, Director of Admissions, also spoke at the event, highlighting the historical and cultural connections between Sialkot and Kashmir. He explained how the people of both regions have shared bonds of heritage, trade and brotherhood for centuries, emphasizing the importance of standing together in times of struggle. The Worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Meritorious Dr. Muhammad Khaleeq Ur Rahman’s vision for such initiatives, emphasizes that USKT is committed to promoting awareness, empathy and activism among students and to prepare future leaders to stand for justice, peace and humanity. After the seminar, a solidarity walk took place, with deans, directors, faculty members and students participating to show their support for Kashmir. The event was a strong reminder of unity and the ongoing struggle for freedom.
