Mr.Ali Furqan Lecturer from Department of English, University of Sialkot has been awarded a fully funded scholarship by the State Department of USA to participate in the OPEN Alumni Conference 2024 organized by the Regional English Language Office, US Embassy, Islamabad. The conference, held from July 1-5, brought together 50 distinguished alumni selected after a rigorous review process from over 1000 across Pakistan to explore contemporary trends in English language education. The event theme "English Language Education for Future," emphasized the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI), innovative pedagogical methods, critical thinking, and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL).During the conference, Mr.Ali Furqan engaged in extensive training sessions led by esteemed Pakistani and American professionals including Mr. Akash Kumar, Dr. Nazia Suleman, Dr. Debra McKeown, and Dr. Erin FitzPatrick. We are confident that his newly acquired knowledge and skills will significantly enhance English language education within multicultural classrooms and communities in Pakistan. His participation for one week witnesses vision of University of Sialkot to ensure professional development of its esteemed faculty members.
