Celebrating Women Entrepreneurs and Leaders

The University of Sialkot, under the supervision of the Honorable Chairman BOG Mr. Faisal Manzoor and Student Information and Facilitation Center (SIFC), took part in WE-Exhibit 2025, supported by SheTrades and UK International Development. This event celebrated the success and potential of women in business, media and leadership.

The two-day event featured panel discussions with women entrepreneurs and industry leaders. Dr. Mariam Nouman (President, Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sialkot) and Mrs. Gulzaib Waqas Awan (SVP WCCIS) gave opening speeches. The discussions focused on women entrepreneurs in Sialkot, their roles and impact in the workplace. The panelists included Ms. Hamna Imran (The Communal Café), Dr. Shazia Bashir (Vice Chancellor, GC Women University Sialkot), Mrs. Moneeza Hashmi (Media Icon), Mr. Ajmal Cheema (Leather Field), and many other speakers who shared their success stories.

Attendees enjoyed networking opportunities and the inauguration of a special postal stamp to honor women’s achievements. In recognition and support, Dr. Mariam Nouman (WCCI President) presented a souvenir to the Honorable Chairman BOG as a sign of appreciation.

The worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. (Meritorious) Dr. Muhammad Khaleeq Ur Rahman’s vision for women empowerment, leadership and innovation continues to push USKT’s commitment to creating opportunities for women to grow and lead in society.
