USKT at Pakistan Financial Literacy Week 2025

The University of Sialkot took part in the Pakistan Financial Literacy Week 2025, organized by the State Bank of Pakistan.

On the special invitation of Ms. Fouzia Aslam, Chief Manager SBP Sialkot, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Aslam Dar (Dean of Inter-faculty Coordination and Industrial Linkages) and Ms. Rooma Qadeer (Director of Student Information and Facilitation Centre) attended the event that also included the Financial Literacy Logo Competition. The day started with a flag hoisting ceremony. In his talk Dr. Mohammad Aslam Dar talked about how important financial knowledge is for students and how it can help them in real life.

There was then an MoU signing ceremony between State Bank of Pakistan, Sialkot branch and University of Sialkot, along with Government College Women University Sialkot, Grand Asian University and University of Management and Technology, Sialkot.

At the end of the event, winners of the Financial Literacy Logo Competition were given prizes. We are proud to share that Shawaiz Shahid Khan, a student from the Computer Science Department of USKT, won second position.

Ms. Fouzia Aslam thanked the worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Meritorious) Dr. Muhammad Khaleeq Ur Rahman of USKT, for his full support and the university’s strong cooperation with State Bank of Pakistan, Sialkot.

This event was a great step forward to help students learn more about finance and build strong connections with important institutions.
