Kashmir Solidarity Day | University of Sialkot
The University of Sialkot organized a meaningful seminar on Kashmir Solidarity Day under the umbrella of the Societies Board.
Faculty members, students, and representatives from various university societies and academic departments, including Law ,Information Technology, Computer Science ,Pharmacy and International Relations, actively participated in the event and delivered insightful speeches on different dimensions of the Kashmir issue.
Speakers from the Department of Law highlighted the legal and constitutional aspects of the Kashmir dispute, discussing international law, UN resolutions, and human rights violations faced by the Kashmiri people. Faculty and students from the Department of International Relations shed light on the historical background, geopolitical significance, and regional implications of the Kashmir conflict, emphasizing the role of diplomacy and global advocacy.
Student representatives and society members spoke passionately about the humanitarian crisis in Kashmir, the ongoing struggle for self-determination, and the responsibility of youth to raise awareness through peaceful means, media, and digital platforms.
In addition to the seminar, an awareness walk was organized to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir and to reaffirm the collective commitment of the university community to their just cause.
The event was held under the dynamic leadership of worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Meritorious) Dr. Muhammad Khaleeq Ur Rehman. In his concluding remarks, the Vice Chancellor emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people and urged students and faculty to use social media and digital forums to keep the Kashmir issue alive at national and international levels.
