Rooma Shahzadi

Rooma.Shehzadiuskt.edu.pk Dr. Rooma Shahzadi holds a Ph.D. in Media and Communication Studies from the University of the Central Punjab, Lahore. She is currently serving as the Head of the Department of Media and Communication Studies (Since 2013) and as the Director of Press, Media, and Public Relations (since 2022) at the University of Sialkot. In addition, she is an active member of the Ethical Institutional Review Board (EIRB) at the university. Dr. Rooma Shahzadi has authored 10 research articles published in HEC-recognized (X and Y category) and international journals, demonstrating her commitment to advancing knowledge in the field. Her professional journey includes writing articles and features on social, political, and lifestyle issues, conducting critical analyses of news content, and engaging in proofreading and content analysis. She worked as a content writer for Daily Jang Lahore during the NA- 123 Bye-Elections in 2010. She has participated in numerous national and international media conferences and attended the seminar on "Civic Education" organized by UNDP. She has also made significant contributions to academia by supervising various theses and projects for media and communication students.
