A BS Biotechnology program provides a comprehensive understanding of biological sciences and their applications in various fields. It equips students with the knowledge and skills to work in areas like medicine, agriculture, and industry, often involving the use of biological systems to create new products or processes.
They also have an opportunity to apply theoretical foundation in a real-world setting.
PEO-1: BS Biotechnology (PEO's): To impart basic knowledge about natural sciences and its implementation in our daily life.
PEO-2: BS Biotechnology (PEO's): To enable the students to learn scientific and analytical techniques related to industry, forensic sciences, pharmaceutical and agricultural companies, clinical pathology testing, quantitative assays etc.
PEO-3: BS Biotechnology (PEO's): To develop and improve written and oral communication, information retrieval and problem-solving skills of the students.
PEO-4: BS Biotechnology (PEO's): To equip the graduates with advanced knowledge of biotechnology which they can use in various fields to counter everyday problems.
PEO-5: BS Biotechnology (PEO's): To prepare the students in such a way that they can excel in the field of research and innovation by providing them with facilities to conduct research as well as with collaboration with other researchers.
PEO-6: BS Biotechnology (PEO's): To provide the knowledgeable and skilled manpower for the industrial, clinical and in technology sector.

PLO-1: BS Biotechnology (PLO's): Students will be able to meet future needs of the country after learning basic techniques used in biotechnology in various fields like medicines, Nano biotechnology, Genetic engineering etc.
PLO-2: BS Biotechnology (PLO's): Students will be able to conduct quality research relating to the current needs of the industry.
PLO-3: BS Biotechnology (PLO's): Students will have strong presentation and report writing skills which will be helpful in making projects and presentations in their practical life.
PLO-4: BS Biotechnology (PLO's): Students will be able to conduct research-based seminars and workshops in local as well as in international conferences individually.
PLO-5: BS Biotechnology (PLO's): Students will be able to join research organizations, educational institutes, or industry after the completion of program.
PLO-6: BS Biotechnology (PLO's): Students will be able to enhance their qualification by getting admission in national or international universities. In case the graduates need to proceed towards higher education, our design curriculum of the program provides a strong base and solid foundation to compete successfully to win scholarship for next desired academic level.
PLO-7: BS Biotechnology (PLO's): After completion of program, the graduates are expected to fulfil all the demands and to serve as a technical person and teacher in the field of basic biology upto secondary level in the regions.
The minimum credit hours to complete this program are 128 hours, while the maximum are 140 hours.
The minimum Duration to complete this program are 4 years, while the maximum are 6 years.
Biotechnology is the combination of different emerging technologies with biology to meet essential requirements of human beings in every discipline of life including medicines, disease diagnosis and treatment, food production, animal breeding technologies, implantation of synthetic organs & body parts and many more. With the advancement of modern world technology, Biology also adopts new ways to grow and serve humanity under the broad spectrum of Biotechnology. This continuous emerging field has fuse its applications with physics, electronics, nanotechnology, chemistry, biochemistry, physiology and marine science to play its influential and prominent role to rule on every emerging industry of the world. Biotechnology gives different prospective of science to make new things by using technology.
