The University of Sialkot intends to establish the Department of Islamic Studies initially by launching it 4 years BS Islamic Studies program. Since it is the first phase of the university as it has recently been established viz. in the year 2018, the program may be a first drop of water and upon successful completion of this 4 years degree program, the holders of BS Islamic Studies shall have an opportunity to enroll them into our 2 years M Phil program and eventually into our 3 years Ph D program. The 2 years M Phil and 3 years Ph D in Islamic Studies programs may be offered any time after launching the 4 years BS degree program depending upon the availability of qualified faculty for the purpose.

They also have an opportunity to apply theoretical foundation in a real-world setting.

Program Educational Objectives

PEO-1: MS Islamic Studies (PEO's): To provide students with an opportunity to acquire in-depth knowledge of Islamic studies, including Quranic studies, Hadith, Islamic jurisprudence, theology, and Islamic history, fostering a deep understanding of Islamic sciences.

PEO-2: MS Islamic Studies (PEO's): To develop critical thinking skills in students, enabling them to critically analyze contemporary issues and challenges from an Islamic perspective, and propose solutions that align with Islamic principles.

PEO-3: MS Islamic Studies (PEO's): To promote the integration of modernization and globalization with Islamic sciences, helping students bridge the gap between traditional Islamic knowledge and contemporary developments, fostering a balanced understanding.

PEO-4: MS Islamic Studies (PEO's): To deepen students' understanding of the objectives of Sharia and its fundamental principles, enabling them to interpret and apply Islamic law and ethics in various contexts effectively.

PEO-5: MS Islamic Studies (PEO's): To nurture students into scholars of national and international prominence, equipping them with research and academic skills to contribute to the field of Islamic studies, thereby adding pride to the university and Pakistan.

Program Learning Outcomes

PLO-1: MS Islamic Studies (PLO's): The MS program will strengthen research activities in the field of Islamic Studies.

PLO-2: MS Islamic Studies (PLO's): Students will understand the challenges of the modern age regarding contemporary issues as well as the solutions in the light of Islam.

PLO-3: MS Islamic Studies (PLO's): It will enable them to enhance their helping books consultation skills.

PLO-4: MS Islamic Studies (PLO's): They will be able to learn and encourage mutual respect, ethics of differences in opinion and tolerance.

PLO-5: MS Islamic Studies (PLO's): Through quality teaching we provide qualified professionals who will be able to serve our society in a better way.
