Department of Biological Sciences provides a unique opportunity to the students for studying all the aspects of modern biology. It emphasis research using various molecular biology, biochemistry, botany, and zoology-related techniques to give solutions for the complex human and animal disorders, agriculture, economic and industrial problems by focusing on life science and emerging technologies. The program provides an opportunity to tailor coursework and research work to fit the career goals of individual students. Our graduates are well-equipped to tap the vast opportunities available in academia, industry and research domains. The curricula for the degree program are designed to prepare manpower, needed for the economic development of the country.

The department aims to provide the fundamental knowledge of the living world that includes the diverse areas of plant sciences, environmental sciences, human health, computational biology, nanotechnology, genetics and molecular/cellular biology through innovative research for the welfare of mankind.

Faculty of Sciences was established in Oct, 2013 and undergraduate programs of BS Biotechnology, Biochemistry and Zoology are successfully running with more 800 students and 2 batches were passed out.
